Male alterations
Male alterations stand for 40% in conception problems, it is highly recommended to do the respective study of men in early stages as well as in couple’s.
The most common causes of male infertility by impairment are basically divided into two groups:

Inability to deposit semen into the vagina. This group includes all disorders related to erectile capacity and / or ejaculation.
- Changes in semen quality. These alterations are mentioned below:

The number of sperm when there is a low or no sperm concentration. The minimum standard number established by the World Health Organization is 20 million per milliliter of ejaculate. The decrease in a normal amount of sperm

The type and number of sperm mobility. The minimum percentage of sperm mobility with progressive mobility is 50%. The decrease of normal mobility is called asthenozoospermia.

Shape and sperm appearance, whereas the minimum percentage of normal sperm according to strict criteria of Kruger morphology is about 14%, and 30% according to the World Health Organization. The decrease of normal sperm is known as teratozoospermia.

A combination of the above: trace-zoospermia Asten, Asten-zoospermia terato-, oligo-terato-zoospermia or oligo-terato-Asten-zospermia.
Other factors or conditions that may cause male infertility include:
Disturbances in the central nervous system, hypertension or other vascular disease causing alteration, ingestion of medications that cause erectile dysfunction or ejaculation.

| Azoospermia is a problem in the testicular sperm production. |
| A blockage tube or an absence that connects the testicles to the penis. |
| An enlarged vein in the scrotum (varicocele). |

| A lack of mobility or functional sperm. |

| Abnormal ejaculation. |

| Diabetes mellitus. |
How do we identify male infertitlity?
Obtaining a semen sample which is analyzed to assess the volume, sperm concentration, the percentage of motile sperm and normal forms. An abnormality of one or more of these parameters suggests a problem with the sperm. greater the abnormality detected in the semen analysis, greater chances may have the sperm to become a factor in infertility couples. Although a semen analysis ,
is the most common method used to determine sperm quality, it is important to say that the analysis is not 100% accurate and that there are many men with abnormal semen analysis with normal fertility.
